Administration Debug
Web Service Logs view
The Web Service Logs view displays the logs for all inbound and outbound Web Service APIs, including those generated from the argoservice Tester (on page 1). You cannot add to or edit these log entries stored in the database.
Prerequisites
You need the Debug privilege to access the Web Service Logs menu.
N4 allows you to view the details of the following message types: Gate, GOS, and Custom. This view does not display logs for the CAS API.
To display logging for these supported message types, you need to ensure the following settings are set to true so N4 logs the three types of Web Service calls:
ARGOWEBSERVICE003 (WS_LOG_GATE) (on page 1)
ARGOWEBSERVICE004 (WS_LOG_GOS) (on page 1)
ARGOWEBSERVICE005 (WS_LOG_CUSTOM) (on page 1)
ARGOWEBSERVICE006 (WS_LOG_ICU) (on page 1)
ARGOWEBSERVICE007 (WS LOG SNX) (on page 1)
You can filter the logs in this view based on data in the Web Service Request or Web Service Response fields, even though these fields do not display in the Web Service Logs view. For example, to display only the log records for container ABCU123 in the Web Service Logs view, you can enter *ABCU123* in the quick search field or add filter criteria for Web Service Request or Web Service Response matches (==) *ABCU123*.
In addition, you can use the Actions Export Webservice Logs option to export the selected logs into a text file.
To view or delete a record:
In the list view, select the record(s) that you want to view or delete.
Right-click on the record(s) and select View or Delete option.
Alternatively, do one of the following:
Click to view the details of the selected record or, double-click on the record or select the record and press the Enter key in your keyboard. N4 displays the details in the View Web Service Log form (on page 1) that displays the requests, responses, and any messages that returned in the call.
Click to delete the selected record(s).
Notes
The Web Service logs that you delete are retained in the system for the number of days specified in the ARGOWEBSERVICE002 (PURGE_WS_LOG_DAYS_TO_RETAIN) (on page 1) setting.
